<p><em>Krishna's</em> birth is celebrated and observed on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the dark fortnight (<em>Krishna</em> Paksha) in Shravana Masa from evening to mid-night, The number eight has another significance in the Krishna <a href="https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/legend">legend</a> in that he is the eighth child of his mother, Devaki. The devotes sings group song, bhajans as well as group dance to celebrate the birth of shree krishna, After mid-night th prasad is distributed among devotes.</p> <p>Those devotes who don't stay till mid-night, collect the prasad in the next morning, the temple nicely decorated which creates a vibrant effect on the devotes.</p>
